UTP and shielded cable
Unshielded and shielded cable constructions are used in different environments. Shielding can be relevant where electrical interference is a concern, but the complete installation needs to be designed accordingly.
Do not forget the components
The cable is only part of a structured cabling system. Patch panels, keystone jacks, connectors, patch leads and other termination components should be suitable for the chosen cable category.
